I help women navigate menopause through education and appropriate nutrition/lifestyle interventions.
I am also a (recently) postmenopausal wife, mother of 3 adult kids and support human for our lab Kodi.
This passion became a calling when my family began dealing with diagnoses of Crohn’s disease, heart disease, ADD, and anxiety, and I saw how nutrition and lifestyle changes played a pivotal role in their health journey. It eventually lead me back to graduate school and to private practice.
There, I found, time and time again, women clients over 40 were seeking support for hormone issues, gut issues, weight gain…you name it…and at the same time many of them were going through MENOPAUSE.
The irony wasn’t lost on me when I started having many of the same issues (and a few new ones!) myself. And, I found that even though we all know it’s coming, we are given so little education (including me) and often suffer needlessly (yep, me too).
I was determined to fill in my own knowledge gaps about the phases of menopause and how to best navigate them from a nutrition and lifestyle approach. Turns out, there was a lot more to know and now I hope to share it all with you!
